1. DRIVER’S AGE: For all categories 21 – 68 years old.
2. NEW DRIVER COVERAGE: New driver coverage, allows drivers aged 19 & 20 to rent category A cars, paying an additional €10 per day, provided they have held a driver’s license for at least 12 months.
3. FINE ENVELOPE EXPENSES: The driver is charged €15 in case of a fine resulting from a violation of the Road Traffic Code. This amount is non-refundable.
4. ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: Daily charge of €5 for each additional driver.
5. CHARGE FOR DELIVERY TO THE AIRPORT: There is no charge for delivery at Chania airport. For other airports in Crete, there is a charge after consultation.
6. ADDITIONAL CLEANING CHARGE: Applied if the vehicle requires cleaning beyond the usual to prepare it for the next rental. The charge for biological cleaning is €100. For cases where only a seat, a child seat, and not the entire interior need cleaning, the charge is €50.
7. FUEL POLICY: Upon return of the car, the renter must return the value of the fuel in the car at the time of pickup. If it is less, the corresponding amount in cash will be charged.
8. CHILD SEATS: Available only upon reservation and with a charge of €15 (options 0 – 18 kg, 9 -36 kg, 15-36kg) per day.
9. PICKUP-DELIVERY: Pickup/delivery of the car outside PG RENT A CAR CHANIA stations (Daratsos & Chania airport) is possible within the prefecture without charge. Outside the city, the charge will be an additional €0.80/km for all categories. Charge for each pickup or delivery after hours €50.
10. TRANSPORT BY SHIP: Not allowed except with prior approval.
11. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: Provided upon pickup, you will receive relevant documentation.
12. TAXES: All prices and charges mentioned are final including VAT.
13. DRIVER’S LICENSE: The driver must hold a license for at least one year. The driver’s license must be Greek, European (for EU countries), or International (for countries outside the EU).
14. PAYMENT METHOD: For all categories, the renter must present an accepted credit/debit card by PG RENT A CAR CHANIA to cover the amounts related to the guarantee and payment of the rental cost (for non-prepaid reservations).
15. GUARANTEE: Upon pickup of the car, an amount will be reserved on the driver’s credit/debit card, which will be refunded in full at the end of the rental period, provided there are no other charges. The release of the amount may take from 1 to 14 days depending on the issuing bank of the card. The guarantee amount varies by car category. Specifically: A, B: €350 C, D: €500 (for Nissan Juke)
16. FINES AND VIOLATIONS: All fines and administrative penalties resulting from the driver’s liability are fully borne by the renter.
